How Serious Are You?

Only you can answer this question. In order to help you answer it, there are a couple of things you need to be aware of.

First, as one of the greatest bodybuilding trainers of all time pointed out in the 1950s, bodybuilding is 80% nutrition. Vince Gironda, who first made this observation, trained numerous Mr. America and Mr. Universe winners in the 1950s and 1960s. If you are not willing to make what may be, to you, some serious changes in your diet, at least 80% of your training is simply going to be wasted effort.

Second, most of the "conventional wisdom," such as training to failure, is flatly wrong. Train to failure and you will, in 99 out of 100 cases, fail. Training to failure is a good way to sustain injuries. The first duty a personal trainer owes to his client is to keep him from hurting himself. Another way to prevent progress is to train on the machines (actually furniture with weight stacks) so much in vogue today and to use light weights doing dumbbell curls, dumbbell laterals and the like, expecting to build large muscles. You’re not going to gain much by exercising while sitting down and you can’t build man-size muscles lifting Girl Scout weights.

In order for you to determine your level of commitment, we have divided our program into five levels.

LEVEL I:    Starving Student

If you can’t afford to eat properly, you can’t afford to train properly. Eating properly does not mean six meals a day (which is actually counterproductive) or subsisting almost entirely on meat products. In either case, your energy level will go into the toilet.

To understand what eating properly consists of and how to eat properly cheaply,
we recommend Rich Tucker’s Biblical Nutrition for $15.00

LEVEL II:    Willing to Make Changes

Contrary to the conventional wisdom, more protein and heavier weights does not equal muscular growth. Just as critical as knowing what to eat and when is knowing what not to eat and when not to eat.

Most exercise books these days teach improper exercise techniques. For example, you do not breathe in on the way down doing a benchpress. Correct exercise technique is critically important. Do your exercises wrong and you will stagnate in your training and suffer injury.

Let me teach you how. Read The Strength of Samson: How to Attain It for $20.00

LEVEL III:    Brown, Show Me What You Can Do For Me

If you have been stymied in your training, if you keep getting hurt, if nothing seems to work the way everyone else is telling you it is supposed to, there can only be one of two causes:

    1. You are doing something wrong.

    2. There is something wrong with you.

Our 90-minute video will give you two things:

First, it will show you several ways to diagnose problems you may not even suspect, such as spinal and hip misalignment. If you are off-balance, you will be even more off-balance when you pick up a heavy weight.

Second, it will show you why most exercise machines do not work the way they are supposed to.

How to do individual exercises is not included.
