A comment on desiccated liver from Dianne Miller

A lot of people won't try the liver powder because the thought of the taste of liver does not appeal to them. My own mother was one of those.

I sent some powdered desiccated Argentine beef liver to my mother in Florida. She put it into storage in her kitchen and tried to ignore it. I finally convinced her to try it. She put it into some vegicaps and took it that way so she didn't have to taste the liver. She was getting it in small doses but at least she was getting it.

About a week after she started the liver in the vegicaps routine, my mother's sister, who lives a few doors away, asked her if she had started using the tanning lotion sample from an expensive cosmetic line that her daughter had given each of them to try. My mother told her that she hadn't started using it yet. My mother's sister said that her face looked like she had so much more color than usual that it looked like she was using the lotion. The only difference had been the small amount of liver that she had added to her diet.

About a year later I talked my mother into mixing the liver powder in her VitaMix (a whole food juicer) with different juices and fruits. She finally hit upon a combination that she liked. Now she has the liver/juice/fruit mixture for lunch two or three times a week.
